1. Marketplace only

SteelTrade is an introduction and communication platform. We are not a trader, mill, stockist, broker, agent, freight forwarder, inspection body, insurer, bank or escrow provider. We do not buy, sell, own, hold, inspect, transport, insure, finance or guarantee any material advertised or requested on the platform.

2. Member-supplied content

Listings, buying requirements, specifications, quantities, origin statements, locations, prices, certificates, images and documents are supplied by members. SteelTrade does not independently test, measure, inspect or certify material and does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, currency, legality or availability of any content. Any reliance you place on member content is at your own risk.

3. Verification is limited

A verified badge indicates that SteelTrade has performed a limited documentary check of information submitted by a company at a point in time. It is not an audit, credit rating, quality certification, capacity assessment, guarantee of solvency or recommendation to trade. Circumstances change, and verification may be withdrawn at any time.

4. Membership is not endorsement

Membership is a paid access product. It does not verify a company, does not indicate approval by SteelTrade and does not guarantee inquiries, responses, deals, volumes or commercial success.

5. Prices and market information

Prices shown are indications supplied by members for a specific parcel at a specific moment. They are not quotations to you, not an index, not a market assessment and not investment, hedging, trading or financial advice. Steel prices, freight rates and currency rates move; always confirm current terms directly with the counterparty.

6. Your own due diligence

Before contracting you are responsible for verifying the identity, legal existence, authority, licensing, sanctions status, creditworthiness and performance capability of your counterparty, for inspecting or testing material, for agreeing enforceable contract terms, for arranging secure payment and, where appropriate, for using independent inspection, insurance and legal advice.

7. Payments and fraud

SteelTrade never holds funds for a transaction between members and will never ask you to send money for a deal to an account provided by SteelTrade staff. Treat any change of bank details, urgent payment request or off-platform pressure as a fraud risk and verify independently before paying.

8. Documents and translations

Documents exchanged through the platform are the responsibility of the members who provide them. Where content is translated or summarised, the original language version prepared by the member prevails.

9. External links

The platform may link to third-party websites or resources. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy or practices.

10. Availability

We aim for a reliable service but do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error free or free of harmful components, and we may suspend access for maintenance, security or legal reasons.

11. No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SteelTrade accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on platform content, from dealings with other members, from the quality, quantity, title or delivery of material, or from market movements. Limitations of liability set out in our Terms & Conditions apply to this disclaimer.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Dubai, UAE have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, without prejudice to mandatory consumer or local-law rights that may apply to you.

Changes to this document

We may update this document from time to time to reflect changes in law, regulation, our services or our business practices. The version published on this page is always the current version and the effective date is the date of last update shown in your account or on the page. Material changes will be notified to registered members by email or by an in-platform notice.
